Set Microsoft Edge as your default browser?

Why's there only "not now" instead of "never and don't bother me with that bullshit ever again"??

➡️ https://lafibre.info/tv-numerique-hd-3d/avif/msg1051014/#msg1051014

Nice introduction to the new View Transitions API (although supported mostly by and at this point)

Both Firefox and Webkit are currently working on their implementation

If you ever thought “I wish I could control my browsers using Shortcuts”, you might be in luck! 😉 It's still a work in progress but I think it's quite solid already.

I'm a Firefox user, but Brave Browser seems to be doing a good job of protecting its users as well.

Here is a list of disabled Chromium features in Brave. Quite an interesting read.

@mkiol No question. It's certainly always important to seek alternatives. However, is one of the examples (, , , , …), which I find also troubling because at the end of the day, it's focused on just one rendering engine. These are then monopolies, which are often not good for the user.
's is actually the only competitor currently regarding rendering engines (, ) to Google (. ).

Current level of hell: copy/pasting all links from Microsoft Teams into Firefox because even though FF is my default browser, all teams links end up in Edge, with an embedded Microsoft Teams split view.

As Microsoft doesn't have any of my credentials, every link is a 404, 500, or some form of "Restricted Space".

Anyone know how to turn this off?

tgpo, to windows

Just did a clean install of 11 on the I purchased from work.

My first 3 steps:

  1. Open
  2. Download
  3. Never open Edge again

News headlines I didn't ask for are the worst kind of ads for me.

Attention grabbing, hollow ragebait made to misinform and divide.

That's why I find it so odd when I see people use or in their default configuration.
The amount of paid content blasted in my face is something i can't really tune out, like others seem to be able to.

It works with ads, so I guess the same filters work with News when folks train themselves.

BREAKING: Colorado Supreme Court removes Trump from 2024 ballot. Personally, I believe the probability of the U.S. Supreme Court going along with this is essentially zero. He'll be on the ballot in the end.

Wow. I agree that it's unlikely to stand, but more importantly, will this be The Thing that sends him over the ?

Given his "normal" behaviour, I'm having trouble imagining what that would be like.

Wieder jenseits jener Grenze. Matter, trüber Himmel über schwarzen Dächern. Jeden Abend Licht in anderen Fenstern, andere Nachbarn, andere Erzählungen.

Explained a bit what I have experienced over the years with , and .

Talked about the importance of not leaving holes through not designating products, such as

Talked about the importance of regulating use of data. Data may be the new oil and oil is ruining the planet. We can allow use of data for services, without saying that the data can be used for profiling and marketing as well!

Got great feedback, so happy about that.
