I took a relaxing walk with @Think_Link on a path near our house. The sky and the lighting were perfect. With everything happening in our world recently, we need to remember to take a moment to breathe.
@cazabon Hey friend,
Do you have any ideas for getting safe non oxbow Orchard grass hay in Canada?
As you know Oxbow destroyed Skye’s beautiful eyes. We ordered Pet Select from Amazon which was a dream. Now it has over doubled in price $100 for 5 lb bag which we can’t afford, so
I ordered from Canada Pet Connection. The box came today saying one bag of oxbow treats, one cardboard chew and a 10 lb bag of hay was included. Look at the box! 😭 So tiny and no hay. Packing slip says hay.. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Timothy is "best" for #rabbits, but other #grass#hays will also do; if Ceno is allergic, it's definitely off the list! Ideally stay away from alfalfa hay, but Alberta and Saskatchewan grow a fair bit of #brome too, which is good.
You could look at whatever local horse-boarding places are using.
Question for #GRASS GIS folks...what do I have to do to allow a colleague to open a GRASS Location that I created and vice-versa. We're both in the same user groups, the folders have been chmod' 777. But when we launch the location from GRASS GUI, we get permission denied. We can open each other's files in the GRASS DB for each location via QGIS...but not what we want.
Finishing up my automated #Flood quicklook process with #GRASS GIS and #Sentinel-1 SAR imagery. In this image over New Brunswick, Canada following TC Lee, red and cyan pixels represent significant changes to backscatter between a reference image and the post-event image. Post event acquired on 2023-09-17. My BASH script for running this looks a hot mess...but it works!
Shock horror! My husband’s going to cut our #grass! Last cut at the very end of May. Actually that was the only other time it got cut this year 😜 #NoMowSummer#gardening#lawns#rewilding
Odd fasciated colts foot flower head spotted at the community garden today, dried regular flower head for comparison.
I know it can just happen spontaneously but I feel like I’ve been seeing a lot of fasciated flowers this year #fasciated#plants#weird#grass
Climate change is an immediate threat to the majority of the world's population.
We need a local, regional, state, national, and international "moon shot" type of concentration of effort using available resources while developing and advancing new science and technologies to counteract the damage humans have caused.
Without this type of all-out, universal cooperation, human civilization, and perhaps humanity itself, are in imminent danger of extinction.
