@NotImpressed @palestine If any sitting Representative, Rashida Tlaib for example, said that Palestinians needed to bomb Israel -with any kind of bombs- she would be destroyed. The double standard is obvious. Israel has our permission to kill all the dirty brown Palestinians.

Ok a Thai friend took me to a Thai place in LA for Thai spicy, and let's just say it's 2x spicier than Thai spicy in SF (even at my fave places, ordered in Thai)... and as spicy as in Isaan, Thailand.

@peter I'm a little surprised. He could have said something like, "I get it. No one likes seeing families being bombed." But he didn't even acknowledge the reasons his base is upset. He just condemned us for having feelings and questions. Again, HIS BASE is upset. Most of his voters are upset. He is throwing this election.

@KatM @DrALJONES @Mary625 In the end it doesn't matter. I see what you mean regarding their brazen tactics and confidence that the police wouldn't stop them. The bottom line is, the police view certain groups as allies. People like Kyle Rittenhouse. Be safe out there folks. Someone is going to try to kill pro-Palestinian protesters this summer and the police will not be there to stop it.

AOC has supported Pres Biden & most of his agenda, though at times her views are far-left. She spoke for quite a few Dems & Americans on the House floor.

Many Americans agree that Israel has violated . AOC & some Americans believe that Israel has committed genocide. Regardless, AOC calls for Pres Biden to suspend aid to IL & for more humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza. It's not appropriate for the ADL to accuse her of lying & fostering hate.

@thepoliticalcat @KimPerales I would counter with a few points. First, in a New York district, the expectations on policy writing are low. Second, AOC has proposed a lot of legislation, but she's gotten no one to co-sponsor anything with her to get it out of committee. Third, she certainly makes up for the lack of policy writing with her floor leadership and work on committees. Compare her to my representative in NY-13, and it is clear that one keeps a seat warm while AOC is putting in work.

@thepoliticalcat @KimPerales If I could clone her and put her in NY-13, I certainly would. The more progressives like her come to the house, the less resistance she will face from the elders who won't even listen to her. Two terms from now, she's a senior member of the Democratic caucus.

@charlykuehnast @jwz Indeed. In the three decades since the 90s, have any of them had a distinctive aesthetic and art? 2010s maybe. By 2019 we had something definable in pop culture, as well as a lot of good music for the first time in a while. If the AI bubble gets big enough, it could help define the 2020s.

@Sarahp I will happily talk you into it, provided the phone is a Samsung. They supportntheor phones for 5 years.now. S23 FE, A55, etc. Android had a terrible start, but is good now. But as an InfoSec professional, I admit iOS still has the best security. I have a Samsung S23 FE.
