Two Men Contemplating the Moon (1820s) by #German#Romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840).
These two figures are seen from behind so that the viewer may participate in their communion with nature. They have been identified as Friedrich, at right, and his friend and disciple August Heinrich (1794–1822). Fascination with the moon ran high among the German Romantics, who regarded the motif as an object of pious #contemplation
A celestial image of a gold-hued moon amidst sparkling gold splatters with the words “Love you to the moon and back.” Created to tell your special someone just how much you love them. :)
There is no rush, no need to hurry, no push to dart quickly and skim past this moment. This moment, right now, is enough in itself, filled with joyful and pleasurable anticipation of the evening ahead, an evening filled with possibilities and promises, spent with someone most dear.
Tea, the ocean, and flowers -- all three are calming, reflective of nature's offerings, an invitation to slow down our incessant, efficient pace and simply . . . be for awhile.
Sending out much love! Today was a great day...Sold lots of art. :) All of my animals stayed cool (no chickens got heat stroke). Got some gardening/weeding done and had one laughing episode where I nearly peed myself. I would call that a successful day. :)
Many things in life require a soft, gentle touch -- flowers, kittens, children, people's deepest feelings, and you can't give this touch in a hurry, or thoughtlessly. It takes time on our part, but both giver and recipient benefit when we take this time.
For our six month anniversary, my girlfriend and I got promise rings for each other. I got her a silver ring with yellow zirconia, and she got me a ring with lapis lazuli in it. Six months down, the rest of our lives to go. ♥️
When we are waiting for something, someone, it is an ache, a drive deep inside our heart that simply can't be easily wished away. If it could, then it would be because you really haven't wanted it. Don't feel bad that you can't give up wanting what you're waiting for.
