This is disgraceful that Elizabeth Warren has come out and support a flawed yet true censorship bill in which would be a death blow to LGBTQIA+ voices everywhere if passed into law. https://www.techdirt.com/2023/10/03/senator-elizabeth-warren-supports-bill-to-silence-lgbtq-voices/

For those somehow out of the loop, I encourage you to read these two great pieces posted below:

By the @eff, which delivers two of them: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2023/05/kids-online-safety-act-still-huge-danger-our-rights-online

How are we still reading headlines in 2023 about some crypto project getting hacked users losing hundreds of millions of dollars? 🤦🏾‍♂️

@janneoksanen @carnage4life my conspiracy theory is that all of the current DeFi projects are just cooked up to keep @molly0xfff too busy to start something else that causes a future dystopia somehow worse than our current one.

Binance is hemorrhaging executives as regulatory heat intensifies, Sam Bankman-Fried's parents are now embroiled in the FTX bankruptcy (and soon criminal case?), and crypto companies continue to all be bankrupt and suing each other. Despite all that, some think now's the time to try to get people excited about crypto again with reality shows and celeb ads. Catch up:

I hate it when you follow a link to a really great blog post and you're two paragraphs in thinking oh my god this is really good but then a modal popup window from substack asks you to subscribe to this newsletter and you have to hit "continue reading" to finish and then you wonder if this great blog entry will last on someone else's service that may not be around in a few years

If you like schadenfreude and entertainment, and seeing the shills and fraudsters called out, I can't recommend @molly0xfff 's newsletter enough. Engraving the keys on a steel plate to survive armageddon and then....losing it.... is just the funniest bit of this week's edition.

Absurdity levels off the charts this week. Read about SBF's request to be released from jail and returned to his parents' house, a crypto custodian failing at their ONE JOB, and how best to describe your NFT project as an unregistered securities offering.

Hey folks, I have left Netlify and am beginning to look at what's next for me. Things I enjoy doing:
• building prototypes
• teaching
• writing, especially technical writing
• architectural synthesis (what should the system look like)
• organizational problem-solving (what should the org look like)
• analysis (what does the data say we should do)

I'm especially interested in companies doing interesting things with LLMs. If you think there's an opportunity I should hear about, let me know.
