Finally, FINALLY some sun for my daily walk, so specifically aimed for this corner of the Botanics to see what was happening and voila, a carpet of magic!
One of the best things about Mastodon is that it gives me an excuse to stop when something catches my eye.
Because we don't get mail delivery to our house I have to drive to the post office a couple of times a week. Today's drive was accented by blooming trees. I know it is only February, but today feels kinda springy.
So if your corner of the world isn't quite springy yet, you can share mine.
Anything for our friends. #BloomScrolling
These are my cancer daffodils. I bought a bulk-pack of bulbs (“Ice Follies”) in September of 2022, and then I promptly got a cancer diagnosis.
By the time I was done with treatment and had enough energy for gardening it was March 2023. Many of the bulbs were dry and dead, but I planted the rest of them because I figured I had nothing to lose.
That spring they came up but did not flower, but this year they are doing just fine. Just like me. 😊
