Israel just bombed a tent city full of #refugees who fled North #Gaza for #Rafah on the #IDF's orders.

They are murdering poor people trapped in a concentration camp, in the places they were told to flee for safety. They are killing impoverished, innocent, starving Palestinians, mostly under 30, with nowhere else to go.
This brutality is unparalleled in my lifetime. All studies show that Israel is in a class of its own, outdoing the Dresden bombings by a landslide. Saying this is not antisemitic: it is your duty, whoever you are.
I am #Jewish: spiritually, scholarly, and Litvak Ashkenazi. It's not antisemitic for me, OR ANY NON-JEW to say. In fact, its every human's duty to call for this bloodshed to cease IMMEDIATELY, and to even call for this genocidal Zionist occupation to be dismantled before there is any more blood shed. Nothing keeps my heart beating like my Arab and Muslim comrades speaking out against this barabarism every day. All while facing the harshest consequences of anyone! This ugliness would quite literally drive me to kill myself if I didn't know so many people who are so brave.
I have been doing activism in Palestine since 2012, both boots-on-the-ground defense of protestors, and teaching programming. These are not antisemites; my Palestinian friends are as close to me as any others. And I have had 6 students murdered in Gaza in 120 days. All the others are starving, fleeing from tent city to tent city, trying to survive the most hellish circumstances of drone democide any people have ever witnessed in the history of humanity. Thats a simple fact now.

Today in Labor History March 16, 2003: Israeli Defense Forces murdered American activist Rachel Corrie in Rafah by running over her with a bulldozer. She had been defending a Palestinian home that the IDF was trying to demolish as part of their collective punishment of the Palestinian people.
A two month old baby girl is among those who were killed in #Rafah tonight. Her family-like many others-were sheltering in the Huda Mosque, which was destroyed by Israeli warplanes.
IDF are conducting operations in several areas of Rafah city, according to our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic, while reports are emerging of heavy clashes between Palestinian armed groups and Israel’s military in the east of the city.

"This is not the life of any normal human being. There is nothing: no water, no food, no health care, not even a toilet. My children ask me if they could just have potatoes but we have no money now. All we have is canned food distributed [by the United Nations],” she said.
“My children have already had flu, and fevers, and hepatitis. They are weak now, and there aren’t enough antibiotics, so I’m very worried.”
Israel bombed Rafah in southern Gaza over 60 times in 48 hours, ignoring the International Court of Justice orders to stop its military operations there.
Israel bombed displaced Palestinians in tents, killing over 30 Palestinians, including children.
The scenes coming out of Rafah are horrific, resembling a massacre.

To make room for the daily rush of war-wounded, Alhamss has crammed a few dozen extra beds into the intensive care unit. He cleared out the pharmacy, which was largely empty anyway since Israel's siege has deprived the hospital of IV lines and most medicines.

Yesterday, Aaron Bushnell, an active-duty member of the Air Force and an anarchist, set fire to himself in front of the Israeli embassy in #DC, in what they called an "extreme act of protest" against the ongoing genocide and ethnic-cleansing of #Gaza by the state of Israel.
Bushnell was involved in various mutual aid projects.
Already, far-Right grifters and pundits have attacked his anarchist beliefs as signs of him being mentally "disturbed."
Bushnell's death comes as Israel prepares to invade #Rafah, where over a million Palestinian refugees have been pushed into tent cities.

"I've been to over 40 countries across Africa, Asia and South America doing humanitarian work, and what I saw in #KhanYounis were the most horrific scenes I've witnessed in my entire life. And so now I know with the bombings going on in #Rafah — with videos coming out showing limbs spread across the ground following an explosion — so I know what my colleagues are going through right now."

"Israel has carried out air strikes in southern Gaza’s Rafah, killing dozens, according to health officials, as Palestinians brace for a major offensive on the densely-crowded city.
"The AFP news agency reported that the strikes killed 52 people, while Reuters reported that 37 had been killed. Both outlets cited health officials in Gaza.
"The Israeli strikes hit 14 houses and three mosques in Rafah, according to Palestinian officials."
Declassified UK revealed on May 8th the RAF has conducted 200 surveillance flights over Gaza since December 3rd
Since its investigation, the RAF has continued these reconnaissance flights. This included a RAF aircraft flying over Gaza on May 26th, the same day Israel massacred 45 Palestinians in a Rafah refugee camp
The Israeli occupation's takeover of the #Rafah border crossing not only blocked the entry of humanitarian aid but forced the #WorldCentralKitchen TO HALT ITS OPERATIONS, forcing hundreds of Palestinians into even more difficulty in securing food.
In their statement, the WCK said, "Our field kitchens & community kitchens outside evacuation zones provided >168K meals in communities around Rafah & Deir al-Balah."
I just can’t comprehend how one can look at footage of what #Israel just did in #Rafah#Gaza overnight and not conclude that there js something fundamentally broken about Israelis. And yes, there are obviously exceptions here, very noble ones. I’ve platformed a number of them on my podcast, but even they say that they are a rare voice, that most Jewish Israelis around them are either enthusiastic about the genocide or indifferent about its victims.
