This is Bøsdalafossur waterfall, the outlet from Sørvágsvatn lake in the Faroe Islands.
The lake sits 40m above sea level, surrounded by cliffs that hem it in, and looks for all the world like it's warped spacetime to inhabit this position.

I was stunned to see Ponytail Falls when I rounded the corner while hiking this last Saturday. To my knowledge, this is the first time i’d ever seen it. This waterfall is above Horsetail Falls. So cool to be able to walk behind the falls and feel the power of nature.
Hard to believe it has been a year since my trip to Iceland! I want to go back!! It was a whirlwind 10 day campervan trip to the land of Fire and Ice....and waterfalls! This is Kvernufoss which requires a short hike to see.
The unnamed outflow #waterfall from Diamond Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, #Colorado. This is only the very top part of a cascade that runs for nearly 1000' down the steep slope. It's a fantastic place to watch the golden hour right before sunset. #waterfallwednesday
