The correct term is “forced-birth extremists”.

Not “pro-life”, not “anti-choice”, not “pro-birth”.

FORCED-BIRTH EXTREMISTS.

cazabon,

@drahardja

Someone else noted that they weren't pro-life, they were just "fetus fetishists".

Once the kid's born, they don't care whether it lives or dies.

This is how we get to Gilead, people.

Patients “are being harmed in significant ways because care is being denied or delayed,” said Daniel Grossman, a professor at UCSF and the lead author of the report. “These laws are having a broader impact beyond people who are seeking abortion because they have an undesired pregnancy.”

"After greenlighting an abortion for a patient with a Caesarean scar ectopic pregnancy, one doctor described a situation where other colleagues who were necessary to safely complete the procedure were unwilling to help, saying they did not feel “legally protected.”

The physician recommended that the patient travel elsewhere, but the patient did not have the means to leave the state."

Some men in Japan have found a new outlet for their misogyny: harassing groups that help women. Their number one target is the group Colabo, which helps displaced girls in Tokyo. Here's how the harassment campaign started (and how you can help Colabo fight back).

Mysterious Author of Early Astronomy Textbooks Unveiled – Researcher Uncovers New Details
In the early 1800s, an English schoolmistress, Margaret Bryan, wrote several well-regarded textbooks on astronomy and physics for young women. Despite her correspondence with some of the era’s most esteemed mathematicians and astronomers, details about her life remained largely elusive until recently.

Why aren’t we better at predicting when a baby is due?

Vox reports: "What causes labor is still a mystery, and it’s hurting birthing people and babies."

On the 5th and 6th of June, the UK Government may be made to give back the right to retire at 60 to all those women who worked and paid their National Insurance.
Currently their pension payout is delayed until 66.
Did you know a campaign called ‘Back to 60 Movement’ has won the right to a Judicial Review and is taking the DWP to the High Court? They will attempt to get the 3.9 million women justice over non consultation in raising the pensionable age to 66 and above.

In my latest Women Advancing Together article, “The Social-Media Pissing Contest”, I discuss my recent experience on Mastodon in which a conversation among three women was taken over by four men and their seething egos. I relate that experience to published research on the topic of male dominance in small group interactions.

It's a continuing saga, of men with total domination,
Psycho, sexual, female manipulation,
Typical male thinks with his dick,
That's how he [?],

This Nature editorial is much easier to read than the Nature article I posted earlier (an "immersive" type of story with a lot of scrolling).

"Women’s health: end the disparity in funding
Funding for research on women’s health is still a fraction of that available for men’s health."

Women and girls are daughters, sisters, etc., but if that’s the only reason someone cares, they’re missing that women are equal, worthy human beings in their own right.

As Marie Shear elegantly and concisely put it:

is the radical notion that are people.
