Palestinian journalists working in Gaza have inspired street art in the United Kingdom with the latest wall mural appearing in East London’s Ilford area.

Painted by street artists Auberi Chen, Core 246 and Captain Kris, the large “Heroes of Palestine” mural features Palestinian photographers, from left to right, Mohamed al-Masri and Ali Jaddalah, writer Hind Khoudary, and photographer Abdelhakim Abu Riash.

Israeli forces have shot and killed Palestinian journalist Muhammad Abu Sakhil at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Israeli forces stormed al-Shifa Hospital with tanks and heavy gunfire on March 18 and have been laying siege to it since. The military says it’s targeting “terrorists” sheltering inside the medical facility, claiming it has killed some 175 Palestinian fighters and arrested 500 more during the siege.

Dear
When Mike Johnson, in his role as Speaker of the House, says things like "if you want to know what I think, read the Bible," please point out that such an answer is not only questionable in light of the Establishment Clause of the US Constitution but also, since the Bible has been interpreted many different ways for millennia, effectively meaningless.

Stop letting theocrats off the hook. "The Bible" can't be a policy position.

Al Jazeera journalists used a consumer drone to document the aftermath of a Jan 7 Israeli strike on a building in Khan Younis.

As the 4 journalists returned, the IDF targeted them in their car, striking it with a missile & killing the driver & 2 Al Jazeera crew — Hamza Dahdouh, 27, & drone operator Mustafa Thuraya, 30 — & seriously wounding 2 freelancers.

IDF claimed they were terrorists who'd threatened IDF troops.

WaPo got the drone footage...no IDF anywhere.

The targeting of Ismail al-Ghoul [inside the al-Shifa Hospital] is part of a series of systematic attacks on Al Jazeera by the occupation authorities, which included the assassination of Shireen Abu Akleh, Samer Abudaqa, and Hamza al-Dahdouh, the bombing of its office in Gaza, the deliberate targeting of a number of its journalists and their family members, and the arrest and intimidation of its crews.

The hospital was a base for journalists to report from throughout Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip.

The medical complex’s courtyard has been bulldozed, while the Israeli army has opened fire towards its buildings.
