Whoa!! The tool to automate generating alt text for images that was recently added to @IceCubesApp is amazing!

Just tap “Generate description” and you get alt text. So far it has been very good for the simple images I have used so far.

Kudos to @dimillian for adding this!

Republican Hatred in Iowa

Iowa will not participate this summer in a federal program that gives $40 per month to each child in a low-income family to help with food costs while school is out, state officials announced.

The Federal government pays for most of the program - Iowa's contribution would have been a measly $2 million.

@Free_Press I worked in the School Lunch Program in Illinois, mostly in a technical aspect. We went to the most participated schools in the program which, of course, was the poorest schools in the State, to acknowledge them and their school's participation. For many of these children, this free lunch was the ONLY meal they had the entire day. We had a saying we always used, because it's the absolute truth..."Hungry kids can't learn"!

The thing about building an "everything" app (payments commerce messaging etc)is that it doesn't work if you won't build it for ~everyone.

Unless you can - for example - get an entire family to use it regardless of their political leaning, you will fail.

An everything app must be as inoffensive and apolitical and non ideological as possible.

Whatsapp. Facebook messenger. Etc.

Musk openly does not want X to be that.

Someone asked me what I think is going on with Trump's lawyers attacking the clerk.

Yesterday I said this:

"It's hard to tell what is going on with that. My best guess is that Trump's lawyers are fatigued, know they are losing, and are getting weird and paranoid."

Judge Engoron, who sees it all up close, said there is misogyny.

I just saw a picture of the clerk and I have revised my opinion.

The judge may be right . . .
