I climbed up behind the very tall altar, balancing on an old radiator and onto the narrow window ledge. This gave a very interesting vantage point to shoot my photos from, while balancing and shooting over the top of the altar.

Trio of Texas Churches Donated to Political Candidate Despite Clear IRS Prohibition
The law prohibits churches from endorsing political candidates, but in a City Council race already beset by claims of church electioneering, one candidate in #Abilene said three #churches made an honest mistake by donating to his campaign and that he is returning the money.
This is the northern rose window from Notre-Dame de Paris. I was there not that long before the fire. Amazingly, it seems as though all the stained glass in this photo actually survived the conflagration. This window was first made in about 1250, and most of the original glass is still in place.
St. Paul’s Cathedral London UK Just stepping foot into St. Paul’s Cathedral is enough, but you must explore more of the spectacularly ornate interior of this cathedral. Wikipedia reports that it was dedicated to Paul the Apostle, and the cathedral dates all the way back to 605 AD. Historically, this is considered the Migration period, also called Dark Ages or Early Middle Ages, the early medieval period of western European history—specifically, the time (476–800 CE) when there was no Roman (or Holy Roman) emperor in the West or, more generally, the period between about 500 and 1000, which was marked by frequent warfare and a virtual disappearance of urban life.
