I think it would really help more Americans understand the gravity of what has been going on if media stopped using phrases like “reverse the results of the election” which is not a thing, or “overturn the election”, (also not a thing), and started using the language the rest of the world uses: attempted coup.

It’s not “reversing” or “overturning” an election; it’s ignoring the results of an election and installing a dictator through fraud, threats, and violence, ending democracy.

The number of people who believe - and unabashedly say, publicly, - “the murder of these people is okay because those other people were murdered first” is unbelievably astounding, and scary as hell.

PS - If you’re thinking of coming into my replies to justify the collective punishment and mass starvation of an entire population forcibly displaced and corralled into inhumane conditions by a state military offensive, one million humans of which are children, ONE MILLION CHILDREN, don’t.

There are roughly 2.2 to 2.4 freshmen students starting college in the US this Fall, and likely the same in Fall 2024. Get them registered to vote. Look at Wisconsin and Ohio, they have the playbook.

People who didn’t see this coming - and I mean from before he won in 2016 - need to sit down and stop talking. Especially the pundits. Especially, especially, anyone who uttered the words: “I like how he says things straight” or “what’s the worst he could do?” who all, apparently, have zero knowledge of world history. Stop talking, and listen to those who aren't the least bit surprised: historians, journalists, writers, and scholars who have for years been warning of how dangerous Trump is.

Abortion is a issue.

Abortion restrictions are Republicans putting the state between an individual and their doctor, and placing decision making on an individual’s healthcare and medical decisions in the hands of the state.

This is obscene and dangerous.

Abortion rights are human rights.

Forced birth is state directed abuse and torture.
