Today, March 21 (or rather tonight) is the spring equinox 2023. I celebrate end of winter by starting this years count down of the 91 days until the summer solistice, documenting gardening and spring/pre summer progress.
This is what it looks like today … #sarasspringcount23

"Life is a beautiful magnificent thing, even to a jellyfish." - Charlie Chaplin #Quote
Maybe once every 10 yrs, a boom in Jellyfish comes up the harbour. Kids & adults were up the river tubing. When they reached the mouth of the river, they were trapped by 1000s of small jellyfish.
I used my boat to rescue a few, stingers were everywhere.
I'd never seen so many, that make it to the river.
Yesterday, we went on a day trip to #Oxford by #train. No other means of powered transport was used as we #cycled to and from our local #RailwayStation.
Here is the #countryside zooming past the train window.
What's the weather in your part of the world looking like today?
Here in Winston Salem, NC, it's going to be a decently hot day as you can see. We'll get up to about 82F, which for me is about 40 degrees way too hot!
A springtime scene that I hope you may enjoy. Our first flush of spring has passed already but it's my second favorite season so I'm dragging it on in my head a bit. LOL (Fall is my favorite).
After lunch yesterday, we went to the #HistoryOfScienceMuseum in #Oxford. It’s not very big but contains some really fascinating exhibits. It is right next to the #SheldonianTheatre and well worth a visit.
Jenny Erpenbeck opens #Spring 2024 with Sloughing Off One Skin, a haunting #ShortStory that explores truth and identity, translated by Michael Hofmann.
I recently read a post on "6 Ways To Pass Parameters to #Spring#REST API". Though the title is a bit misleading, as it’s unrelated to REST, it does an excellent job listing all ways to send parameters to a Spring application. I want to do the same for #ApacheAPISIX; it’s beneficial when you write a custom plugin.
#Celtic#TempleThursday: Beira, the queen of winter, had Bride imprisoned at Ben Nevis. When Angus Og, the God of Summer, found her, winter had to give way to #spring. The painting ´The Coming of Bride` by John Duncan is full of spring flowers: primroses, azaleas, laburnum, lilac, tulips and grape hyacinth. #Imbolc
