If you are out there happily applying the new #Debian pointrelease - DO NOT REBOOT into the updated #linux#kernel. It contains a serious (and silent) #data#corruption#bug that MAY (not must) affect you.
Fixes are in preparation, but builds will take a bit to complete.
So most of us "old timers" now have been on kbin for almost a month (or more), and kbin has been around for longer. And.... we've started to have an issue and I'm not sure if y'all have noticed: early on some people went around to claim some magazines either with the intent to pass it off later, or simply to squat and ideally...
I'll readily admit I'm no bug lover, but I do make an exception for the Praying Mantis. I find everything about them fascinating. Happy to report that two juveniles have finally showed up on the rose bushes outside my kitchen window. Available as a PNG file on my Pixels site, so you can change the background color.
“It's hard to capture the fact that a #bug can be super serious in one type of deployment, somewhat important in another, or no big deal at all -- and that the bug can be all of this at the same time. #Vulnerability remediation is hard.”

There’s a long-standing bug in Fedora (also in Fedora 40), where the sign-in screen is displayed at the wrong resolution (it doesn’t use the settings you have set in the Settings app).
So, for example, if you have 4K@2x set in your settings for your monitor, the sign-in screen will still display at a tiny 4K@1x.
To fix, download an app called GDM Settings from the Software app and press Display → Apply current display settings → Apply.
