"bflat is a native compiler for C# that comes with everything you need to build C# apps for any of the supported platforms. No additional SDKs or NDKs needed"
With it, it's even possible to build C# applications to #Windows 3.1 (!?)

I graduate in August, which means I'm looking for a job! I have almost 5 years of experience with #GNOME/#Linux desktop development and over 2 years part-time professional experience with full-stack development (#dotnet, #angular, #ionic). Plus I've dipped my toes in a ton of other things over the years.
Looking for something remote or in the #neworleans area. If you've got anything let me know! DMs open, boosts appreciated.
I’m on the market for a staff/principal role. I have a passion for #SoftwareArchitecture, Developer Experience, community, mentoring, #performance, and interacting with business and domain experts.
Just had one of those great #tdd experiences where I adapted to a changing requirement by incrementally updating/adding tests, watching them fail as expected, changing the code until they passed, and then refactoring to cleanup while all tests stay green. It's such a great feeling to code with that level of confidence. Never gets old. And my production code got simpler & smaller as a result. #dotnet
🎉I'm looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thanks in advance for any connections or opportunities you can offer - esp. Microsoft Orleans related

I never did do an #introduction and it kinda feels weird to start now, but oh well.
I met my wife at speed dating. 16 years and 2 kids later, it seems like maybe it went okay.
I love cars but have never had the money to own anything interesting, I just like them 🤷♂️
I am much too shy and introverted to ever start a DM conversation with you, or say hi if I see you in person, but will happily stand on stage and talk to hundreds of people. Don't take it personally.
My hobbies include sitting and staring at my phone wishing I had hobbies.
I collect #lego, mainly cars, but I don't really call it a hobby, because I just like following the instructions and then putting them on a shelf.
I once jumped out of a plane, and pulled a ripcord to release a parachute. I survived.
I used to work for a band, and made a flash app for them that ran when you put their CD in your computer.
If you've stayed on-campus in a US University after 2007, my code probably processed your housing application.
I am a cat person. I am not a dog person. Sadly my wife is a dog person who is allergic to cats.
I like writing #csharp, compiling it, decompiling it, then going "hmmmm" and making up explanations for what I see.
I work at Microsoft on #dotnet sort of stuff and I'm pretty chuffed to be doing so.
I have spent the past ~7 years helping build the open source OmniSharp, a C# language server, until I retired from the project earlier this year.
For years it provided the backbone for C# experience in Visual Studio Code and other editors and was used by millions of developers. Despite all of its problems, it has to be remembered that it was built in free time by a small group of passionate folks, and building a language experience and providing constant support in this quickly changing landscape is not technically trivial and emotionally very burdening.
I promised I'd be giving updates on #Iceshrimp's #dotnet C# rewrite -a brand new fedi platform really- so here's where we're at at the moment! The backend's basic functionality is more or less finished, although there will undoubtedly be stuff to fix and improve during beta. So theoretically you could use it, but we don't have a frontend yet so you could use it only with masto apps atm. However, the frontend is where the focus is going now, and we plan to have a basic/working frontend soon so that we can release our first beta in a couple of weeks or so!
We expect performance and server requirements to be comparable to #Akkoma. Things are about to get exciting!
Part 6 of "A Guide to Implementing ActivityPub in a Static Site (or Any Website)" is now out.
Sorry about the delay, this is the part that not many people will like, I assume. I try to explain how to implement the inbox, which by nature is dynamic non-static.
The part 4 for implementing ActivityPub for an "almost static site" has been slow, mainly because involves code and a tool that was on prototype.
But the first version of the "Rss2Outbox" cli is out there, will take a couple of days to document and be ready for prime time, but throwing it in case someone wants to take an early look.
Heya! 🥳 Just released TurboXml https://github.com/xoofx/TurboXml a .NET library that provides a SAX like XML parser that can parse small to large XML documents with zero allocations (apart for an internal buffer that is pooled) and is able to accelerate its parsing with SIMD! 🚀
I can now continue my prototype of rendering some SVG by using this library 😅
Just let the #AI of EAP6 of #JetBrainsRider 2023.2 generate the commit message for me for the first time. It was perfect on first try, I couldn't have written a better one. And even if I could have, I probably never would have.
The only critique I might have is that it didn't respect the maximum line length for commit message (hence the squiggly underlines).
Hey, #csharp and #dotnet developers! This is SUPER exciting for me to be able to do...
#JetBrains has provided me with dotUltimate licenses to give away! You can literally win an entire full-year single-seat license of dotUltimate, which is nearly $500 USD 😱

Any software companies with #microsoft#dotnet#azure tech stack hiring #remote out there? I’m content where I’m at - but as a Lead developer wanting to jump to the #architect track I’m pretty stagnant in my current position.
I worked for the Federal Reserve for a bit before jumping into consulting. I’ve lead geolocated teams - 12 hr time difference - for over half of it.
