The Many Awful Things That Happen To People, All Caused by Religions
No matter what kind of religion it is, #Religion isn’t meant to make things better; it’s only meant to keep us apart.
You’re not picked, but we are. Our #God is the real one, while yours is fake and dirty. #People of other religions can be #killed, #beaten, and #maimed because they are not of our religion, but people of our own religion must be loved and cared for.
I think that the worst and most dangerous misconception #people have about #fascism is that it's this sort of turbocharged "Beast Mode" that #countries can go into to increase their production, win wars, and make the trains run on time, and that the primary objections to it centre on whether the "obvious" increase in efficiency that fascism offers is worth the loss of #freedom and lives. But in reality #fascist regimes like to put up a façade of strength and efficiency, even as they practice #corruption on a scale unimaginable in #democracies and even as the public interest is hollowed out by parasitical #opportunists. There is no trade-off; fascism is a #grift all the way down.
I know I don't shut up about this but frankly not enough #people are angry about the 5-day/40 hour workweek (and I am AWARE a lot of people #work even more than that). I feel like a lot more people should be absolutely furious that we only really have two days a week and some occasional hours in the evening to socialise, run errands, do chores, or relax.
It's no wonder so many people are profoundly lonely and disconnected from their #communities when maintaining a social life in what little free time we have is incredibly difficult. If you have kids, a second #job, a very long commute, or other responsibilities, it's nearly impossible.
We literally aren't meant to live like this and I'll never stop being shocked how many people just take it as the natural state of things and don't want to throw a brick through a #billionaire's window every time they think of it.

Уже давно, как только я посмотрел на то как выглядят инструменты модерации Mastodon, я говорю, что в федивёрсе тоже нет никакой защиты от спама, кроме того, что мы, как и пользователи jabber тогда, пока нахуй никому не нужны.
Пока что два лучших решения, которые я видел сегодня - это когда dansup добавил в Pixelfed блокировку по ключевым словам из .env-файла и чьё-то предложение внести в федиблок серверы, которые пострадали от нашествия учёток ботов.
Если первое - это более-менее разумная реакция, чтобы справиться с проблемой прямо сейчас, то в целом, если честно, это всё выглядит крайне несерьёзно.
Интересно, сколько ещё таких тупых инцидентов должно произойти чтобы кто-то начал работать над этим вопросом?
И да, я каждый раз смотрю с ухмылкой на заявления в стиле что "а вот в корпоративных сетях со спамом тоже не борются - я там ботов видел!".
Этим людям стоило бы понять, что то, что они видели - это остатки, которые проскользнули через работающий антиспам, а то, что они видят тут - это просто шалости каких-то малолетних долбоёбов, от котороых и прикрыться-то нечем кроме разрывов связности в сети 👏
К сожалению, большинство довольствуется поверхностными наблюдениями.

That isn't to say that people don't act in problematic ways, but when it comes to creating a better world, we have to change the way systems operate in order to see change in people at scale.
