Me over-exposing the film in the camera, it's a good idea to keep old cameras in cases in strong sunlight. 😅 You might notice some light leaks in the previous photo.
A tribute to when I lived on the Sunshine Coast of #BritishColumbia and saw a flotilla of sailboats sailing around the harbour every Saturday. What a sight!
On the bay, they were far enough away from the city to escape the noise and bustle, but close enough to watch its endless activity. It was a good perspective, one that allowed them to observe without being distracted.
We went for a pleasant 90 min cruise on the Lady Nelson this afternoon. I pulled on some ropes to raise/lower sails as well, because what pirate wouldn’t partake in sailing the ship?
Sometimes, when we feel we have to make a choice, we actually don't have to, such as in this case: "What should I do," he wondered -- "pull a chair out to the lawn and watch the sailboats, or go sailing myself?" And the answer was obvious: why, both.
If sailboats could smile, this one was -- on a perfect sunny day with just enough breeze to be brisk, and warm golden rays from above adding light and warmth to the mix. It was a day to just get out and explore, not worrying about any particular destination, but being satisfied with the journey itself.
