What are good #Prequels ? 👀

In #EpicFantasy I like a #standalone story & a chewy #intro to the #worldbuilding which ultimately shows how something big went to 💩.😂

So, I wrote "Sons to Keep"! 😎

But not every genre does it like that. 🤠

Will AI make the human race obsolete?

Machines are evolving at an amazing pace. I wonder if we can say the same about the human race...

Started with blenderguppy's new Add-on "Random Starship", and then used technouveau / Big/Medium/Small's Model Shop Greebles kit to detail and bling it out....and that's enough name dropping for one post :D

Streaming has one big flaw: Often you can't find older than the 70's.
Is there a streaming service available internationally on which I can find really old stuff? Everything from 20's to the 60's will do.

Return to Alflynd: Cockpit Interior
I had no idea what to say to Emily - her home had just been destroyed, by something that, from all appearances, I had awakened on MA862.3.

"Don't worry, it wasn't you." she said. "I checked the ship logs. She was on that planet the day after you left, and judging from how fast she stole your ship, she knew that thing was coming."

Medium close shot - Cross-cockpit, from Emily's right, looking at William. She is out of focus, but seems calm and serene. He's leaning forward and has a frown on his face.

Well, it looks like nobody on this side of the is interested in starting this year's , so let me be the first.
Following your preferences expressed in this poll <https://sociale.network/@oblomov/110220213820945435> I'll be talking about SIX (6) webcomics today:

  • 3 that I believe fit the label “interesting stories, poorly drawn”,
  • 2 in the “lewd” category,
  • 1 of the “frustrating ones”.

Sunset Grill http://sunsetgrillcomic.com/ is a , -ish story by @katfeete that orbits around the patrons of the titular eatery in the sums of a NA city some 400 years from now. And it's a masterpiece.

TBH, I was skittish at filing this under “interesting stories, poorly drawn” —not because the author has a Fediverse account, but because you have to squint really hard, even in the early pages, to find those typical signs of 3D render problems.

🆕 blog! “Miss Yamaguchi's Perpetual Beansprout”

The Yamaguchi Foodstuffs Conglomerate emphatically denies causing tumours in vegetables. They did not "give a beansprout cancer". That would be irresponsible and against their 250 year commitment to responsible bio-agriculture development. Every culture has their own version of Grimm's "Der süße Brei". …

Contract signed and sent off.

The piece won't be appearing till next year, but the payment, though semi-pro is still 3c a word with the possibility of a further reprint fee down the track. So not too bad.

A random assortment of 80 people are plucked out of their lives and wake up in an unknown location. A voice speaks in their minds like a loud speaker and informs them that this is a race. The choice is to race or die. And here are the rules: 1. Do not touch the grass. 2. Stay on the path. 3. Do not get lapped twice. The penalty for disobeying: death. Follow the arrows and the school, the house and the prison are safe. Only one can win. This is The Human Race.
