Because older generations tend to be more conservative than younger generations, it looks like people get more conservative with age.

This is, thankfully, untrue.

People get more progressive with age.

It's just that previous generations get a little left behind. The jump between generations is bigger than the progress that happens within people, giving the illusion that older people become more conservative.

I'm not trying to trigger whataboutism but, to my shame, I gave up trying to draw attention to the war in Yemen, which has lead to almost 400,000 direct and indirect deaths, and 25,000 air strikes from the Saudis backed by Western military (particularly the US) that have killed around 10,000 civilians.

All cases of governments killing civilians is bad. I'm not saying "yeah but what about?" I'm saying "can we get some attention there too?"
