The worthy #Quake 1 sequel we never got. This is not just a #boomershooter but what I call an exploration #FPS , very few games are like it and I love the genre. Great looking and playing game. Level design is very diverse in style and gameplay. It’s best in class and has beautiful brushwork. Love the movement additions for fun secret hunting and sequence breaking and the alternative quicksave system gave some extra tension. Chef’s kiss.
@thrickles I really loved the frequency of player bases, in additional to all the strange and pretty planets! I'll have to participate in any expedition that is released in the future.
@WanderingInDigitalWorlds the rendezvous for phase 4 is on a bubble planet with glowing purple fields. Actually can't believe I didn't screenshot it but I did build a small base there...
I've really enjoyed all player bases and seeing others flying around.
Continuing the Artemis storyline on No Man's Sky. We're two thirds of the way to completing all the chapters. I'm hoping to get to the last chapter sometime tonight.
I'll be choosing an empty galaxy as the target once we complete the mission. After that, I'll set up a new home base and start exploring the Universe anew from there.

This is so weird. I'm on a dissonant planet searching for Dissonant Replicators so I can get Echo Locators. I find one of those towers that usually spawn the big Minotaur looking boss, and I'm able to access the mainframe and tell it to disable all Sentinels. Well, apparently it disables them planetwide because I'm now flying around looking for the Dissonant Resonators and there are NO SENTINELS anymore! And their ammo canisters are just laying on the ground. Very weird.
I completed Phase 5 of Expedition 12: Omega this morning, it only took me two hours! I claimed all my rewards, changed my look, and this freed me to create more bases on various worlds; I need some resource collection hubs for easy breezy stocking of my resources.
Sadly, the S-Tier Freighter which I found during this expedition didn't transfer over; I can always find a new one in my normal save! I have units to spare for purchasing a new one.
@Klumpmeister Not to my knowledge the tutorial is still the same length! There are so many planets (with resources that respawn the more time you're away) resources aren't really an issue.
Heck, you can even choose to reset the whole universe to generate a brand new one (based on how you choose to interact with Atlas).
@Klumpmeister It took me maybe 15 minutes at best to do the whole tutorial...It was fairly smooth! It certainly won't stop you from rushing into getting more ships.

Today on No Man's Sky: Omaga Update, we got our freighter! It's a C-class but it flies!
We traded in our starter ship for a B class shuttle but I need to make some money to continue trading up. I'd prefer a fighter or maybe one of those exotic class ships I've seen hanging around the star bases.
This afternoon we'll continue the Artemis story line and see how far we get!
@zalasur I'll admit to following the game before it came out and then not buying it on Steam bc of the early reviews. but recently I noticed I could upgrade my xbox subscription and get it, so I tried that out and now I cant stop playing it.
currently trying to separate myself from the endless missions and just explore, but that is proving pretty tough lol
@seanwithwords You get a lot of "free" items and blueprints from the missions, and they introduce you to the game mechanics in a way that random wandering around blindly can't do. It's a bit grindy but it's not a total waste of time either.
I've done a lot of this during the No Man's Sky Expedition which I've not done in the main game; Smuggling goods for example, I earned so many Units from that! I'll still choose to salvage Ships, Abandoned Freighters, and other sites of interest. Since its profitable and allows me to fully document planets for additional Nanites.
I completed Phase 3, getting lovely rewards on top of the Sentinel Staff Multi-Tool! I got a Sentinel Interceptor Transponder as well. 🤩
I'm going to have fun discovering my first Sentinel Interceptor tomorrow morning after breakfast! That will also complete a Phase Four Milestone at the same time. Its nice that these Milstones are making rare loot accessible to players.
