Heat activated Game Boy mug ftw. It's just a black screen until you put something hot in it- then you get Super Mario Land screens! SML is one of the first three games I ever played on Game Boy back in the 90s, along with Tetris and Kirby. Oh! Daisy!

Got to 82 cat shines in Bowser's Fury last night, and got the last trophies in Sonic Origins that aren't for beating the games. Halfway through S3&K and S2.
...by the limitations of the 8-bit NES, Nintendo chose to remake them for the 16-bit SNES. 🕹️
The developers based the updated designs on those from Super Mario World (1990) and strove to retain the feel of the original games. 👌

Wanna see a weird bug? Grab the Super #Mario Bros DX v3.4 pack from #RHDN (link in my profile) while it's still there. Unzip and look in the Historical Archives folder. Take any of the patches there up to v3.4 and try them in Mesen. Before doing so, make sure Mesen is configured to start up in a randomized state instead of initializing RAM with 0s or 1s.

Booted up a classic for the first time in forever… I’d like to claim credit, but it was 100% my dad when I was a kid. He would whistle after I went to bed and I would “sneak” watch him play. One of my favorite memories growing up. Legend.
