The Nasir al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz, #Iran is known as the #Pink#Mosque
It gets its name from rose-colored tiles covering mosque exterior & pink hue sunlight creates on interior when it shines through stained glass windows
Built in late 19th century during Qajar dynasty, the mosque is not just a place of worship, but a work of #art showing #beauty & #creativity of Islamic #architecture & #design.
A remarkable relationship between playing board games and creative potential. 🎲 💡
"... the frequency of playing board games was positively correlated with several components of creative potential: divergent thinking, openness to experiences, creative self-efficacy and creative personal identity."

Although I started my blog to document my novel writing, my witching poetry has developed a life of is own. Together with a friend, this became a music project.
Please listen to "Bowles" first ever track to have been released!
Anyone have anything exciting to share about your creative efforts this week?
Last week I had an out of town houseguest and a big party so I got nothing done. My manuscript is at around 34k words and I’m shooting for 40k by the end of this week.
I had a breakthrough for the todo app I’m building on stream. When you see it next, it may look completely different, but I assure you it’s grown out of the same seed 🌱
I'm looking forward to the annual #conference of the #Homeschool Association of #California again! It's the only conference I make sure I attend every year. Mostly I go for
** #community **,
other #homeschoolers, other #kids who accept and care about each other across ages, watching kids enjoy each others' company and adults hanging out laughing, everyone #learning from each other!
Today on Re-Creative (re-creative.ca) Joe and I talk to Mike McCormick, one of the founding members of the Arrogant Worms, Canada’s premier musical comedy trio. We cover everything from the vagaries of magnetic recording technologies to the audio formats that are best for scraping frosty windscreens to Aaron Copland’s seminal composition “Appalachian Spring.”
If you have never seen this 14 minute, #experimental silent #film by #MayaDeren, I encourage you to do so. It's strange, hard to explain, #Jungian, and beautiful in it's own way. It's considered one of the most important films in the history of #cinema and, especially, of #ExperimentalFilm. Some might think it's a little rough around the edges, and it is, but the #creativity carries it. Also, it's total budget was only $275. Amazing.
The #Fediverse has not been #optimized. There is no board driving us to increase #engagement, no matter what kind. As #admin we have some metrics but what we are really fighting for are #Spaces where people can find #connection and maybe some #meaning; people feel #safe and #respected; #creativity#imagination and #humor can flourish. Working for The Man in #tech, he always told us we were making a better world. What we are all making here together is one of the few times that is true.
"Don't make stuff because you want to make money-it will never make you enough money. And don't make stuff because you want to get famous-because you will never feel famous enough. Make gifts for people--and work hard on making those gifts in the hope that those people will notice and like the gifts."
Hello #Fediverse! We are, indeed, the official #TEDTalks! We know a lot of people are coming over here from #Twitter via #TwitterMigration & we just wanted to let you know that we’re here.
