An agent saw them. He was retiring and not taking on new photographers, but sent them around, and I got work within months.
The images were made in SF and Marin between 1990 and 2000. All models are amateurs.
There is a false confidence, and a true one. False confidence involves pretending to be who you are not, and acting as if you know things you don't know. Real confidence comes from unabashedly being yourself.
For me, this is truly helpful, giving me a way to think about our current #global#realities and consider ways to ameliorate public complacence and our ever-quickening descent into an #apocalyptic#hellscape.
I'm sure others have stated much the same, or better, but this came up in a #YouTube#video I'm watching and I needed this, now.
