While Australia punches well above its weight when it comes to performers, there have been comparatively few locally written and developed shows that have become successful. This may be changing. Hey, I'm Falco! a high-risk art hermit- in dire need of ongoing help!
Homeless, in a hotel, in debt to my last land-jerks and other bills.

Just read an article on awe and happiness. What fits that bill for me? Musicals. The singing, dancing and story transport me. Here is one of my recent favorites, Schimigadoon!
People ask, where can I watch it? Apple TV is one way, but some of the songs are on YouTube in this singalong style. This is called Cross that Bridge watch till the end for some of my favorite lyrics. #Musicals https://youtu.be/nJIo5h5bFqg
Damn that was good! As a 90s kid, I like #Eraserheads' music and all but I honestly wasn't that excited going into the theater. At the end of the show, I left feeling a lot of... ligaya. 😄
Do you know the name of the musical that uses the Latin words of the Catholic prayer “Hail, holy queen” as lyrics in a song? (Maybe CW the answer, in case anyone cares…) #quiz#trivia#musicals
I've been here for a while. I feel a second #intropost#introduction is in order. I have a masters degree in vocal pedagogy and performance. I love D&D. I shitpost a bit. I'm a leftie pinko commie.
A behind the scene photo of a #LightingDesign in progress - definitely a less glamorous part of the process though.
We’ve had the design meetings.
I’ve presented my palettes, both in words and in imagery.
We’ve talked about key beats to hit. Literally, this is a musical.
Currently I’m putting together a cue sheet, picking out important stuff that needs to happen for this week’s show before I build the big one for next week.
Often designers and performers have quite different language when we’re talking about stuff, so I basically build a mood board to make sure we’re talking about the same things.
Sometimes they’re pretty basic. Sometimes they’re chonky - this one has 36 images.
Sometimes they’re a bit ugly, as fits the show.
Other times they’re pretty darn aesthetic - I’d have this as a poster!
Listening to a podcast devoted to one of the all-time great musicals, “Easter Parade”. Normally it’s one of my favorite podcasts. Alas, this installment is devoted to the hosts and a guest engaging in an episode-long rant about why it sucks. Not sure why they would devote so much time to trashing something so fun.
Hi! I'm Michelle and I like to write about all of my favorite geeky things. Those things include #Gaming#Kpop#Musicals#Disney#ThemeParks and the list goes on.
I'm happy to find a geek-centric server to put my roots while I branch out further 😊 🌲
