In #NewHampshire a bill was passed to end child marriage and raise the min. age to marry to 18.

The bill passed the Senate unanimously and in the House it passed 192 to 174.

ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR!!! voted to sustain child marriage! WTF? And they say they need to protect kids from trans people!

One GOP representative argued this would restrict the freedom of those who are of “a ripe and fertile age”.
This is the modern day republican party folks.

Well, I got my first white supremacist reply from the fediverse after posting an article about Elon from Flipboard.

I reported and blocked the account. I also looked at the instance admin's account and it's clear he's also a white supremacist. So that instance will be blocked on flipboard.com and flipboard.social as well as shared with other instance admins as a problematic instance for them to take action if they also deem appropriate. Took all of 2 minutes to help make the fediverse a bit better for everyone.

And the best thing is that anyone in the fediverse can do this too. Decentralized moderation FTW.

Watching young people risk it all for justice reminds me Claudette Colvin was arrested at 15 for denying a seat to a white woman, John Lewis suffered police brutality at 20, Feds killed Fred Hampton at 22, Robert Smalls stole a Confederate vessel at 22, Muhammad Ali refused the Draft at 24, MLK led the bus boycott at 26, & Harriett Tubman began the Underground Railroad at 27.

They were criminalized, beaten, & killed—& history proved them right eternally. We'd be wise to listen to young ppl now.
