Followgraph will provide you with all the follows of the people you follow.

What? OK, so say you have found a few accounts that interest you. Run Followgraph and you will see and be able to follow all of their follows ranked in order of how many are shared.

Then add some these accounts and run it again.

Do you look back with some nostalgia on live coverage of breaking stories like courtroom trials or political hearings on Twitter? These threads were very popular, providing a forum for real time community engagement.

Well, as demonstrated by Laffy's @GottaLaff live posting today (https://mastodon.social/@GottaLaff/111019296871564013) of the Georgia severance motions for Chesebro and Powell, Mastodon now has the best live coverage of this type of breaking news anywhere.

Perhaps you've thought of trying Mastodon in the past, but heard it was too complicated, too squishy, or something.

Actually, it is a really great social media platform that is actually very easy to use with lots of nice people and great conversations.

This probably won't be popular, but seems like us newcomers could tone down the scolding of the old scolds too. If we all just stopped all the scolding it would be an even nicer place.

Look, there are some folks who like to tell people what to do. They are not the boss of you. You can ignore them or block them. Get them out of your feed. But don't let them get to you. Just be you. Do Mastodon your own way. Have fun. Be kind.

One thing that is really great about Mastodon is that you can spend hours on here everyday and not learn anything about pop culture. Was absolutely the least informed person at the party last night. No idea about any of the "insta" influencers or celebrity scandals. On the other hand, was so ready if anyone had wanted the straight scoop on climate change, the Trump trials, astronomy, or cute cat pictures...🤷

Zack's superb graphics clearly illustrate how climate change is literally changing our world.

His post today (https://fediscience.org/@ZLabe/111473019547564301) details how temperature anomalies are now well above the 1981-2010 average. And it keeps getting hotter.

Might be wrong here, but seems like this may be a bigger deal than a clerical error as is being widely reported:

It may be that the bond company didn't report their financials because they have insufficient collateral to secure a bond of this magnitude. In which case the bond is no good, Trump doesn't have a bond, and he is out of time.

Let's see how this gets resolved...

Today was a big day for space exploration. The Juno spacecraft made it's closest pass so far to Jupiter's moon Io, coming within 2500km of the surface. The images are stunning!

Probably the most important documentary evidence of the crime in the Trump election fraud case is this Michael Cohen bank statement showing an amount Weisselberg wrote on the document of $420,000 — the $130,000 plus $50,000 repayments grossed up to $360,000 to account for taxes and a $60,000 bonus.

The fraud is revealed by "grossing it up" since this demonstrates the payments are being represented as income when in fact they are a repayment of the hush money Cohen gave Stormy Daniels.
