What (perfectly valid) reasons are there not to run #linux on the primary laptop/desktop in 2024?

Excluding all of these, which are also valid:

• Specific games don't run
• Windows applications required
• Missing hardware driver
• It's someone else's computer
• Steep learning curve
• Don't like it
• Never heard of it
• Lack of technical support nearby
• Bad previous experience
• Prefer Apple hardware

Q: What's the most underrated software tool or application that's been a game-changer for you?

I think it might have been TextPad++ for me. A text editor I used on Windows from the mid-1990s until I switched to #linux .

It had so many advanced features over the default editors at the time. I heavily leaned on the macro 📹 record and playback function to manipulate data files.

It also had a super column-select tool before any other editor I'd known. It really helped with data processing.
