My "best 9" portfolio looks like five artistically inclined kobolds in a trenchcoat got together and started fighting over who got to upload pictures onto Cara.
Everyone else there is so consistent in their style and identity. I feel so outclassed :( I gotta get better, eh
Anna Alma-Tadema, teenaged daughter of the more famous Lawrence, shows her prodigious talent in these paintings of the Drawing Room at 1A Holland Park and her father’s library at Townsend House (1880s),
"Steve Brodner, drawing for the Nation... His illustration depicts Lady #Justice toting #Trump toward a #prison cell as she says, “Grab him by the law.”
Generally, there are no signs on country back roads barring the "Warning: Primitive Road Ahead," in which case you probably don't want to go much further in a regular car.
But if you don't see that sign, keep going, see what you see, maybe pull over to the side, step out of the vehicle, take a good stretch, and listen for the subtle sounds of the rural landscape.
Once in awhile, I realize how lucky I am to live in Chicago. There is an art student in some part of the world who would love to see this sculpture in person, but for whatever reason, won’t be able to make the trip. But I could theoretically see it every day. There are blessings like this is your life, too, if you know where (and how) to look.
@mckra1g i did visit Chicago last year, and it's much nicer a city than I expected (i don't expect much from US cities 😅) and yeah, this red thing (😁) is quite a sight to behold, the bean mirror also was quite nice. I did enjoy walking around the lake, and the parks, too, definitely a nice place.
I've been working on this a bit today. I'm going to add lots of colorful smoke and bubbles coming out of the cauldron. I'm a slow painter, but I'm sure I'll finish before witch season 😉
I hope you're all having a lovely day ✌️
