I’m an immigrant to Germany having moved here 14 years ago. I gained my citizenship in 2020. Most of my friends here are immigrants. My partner is an immigrant. It’s been truly frightening to hear the far-right planning mass deportations of naturalised citizens.
But 1.5 million people marched against that today. 350,000 demonstrated in #Berlin alone. That gives me so much hope. Tolerant people are not a minority, and we won’t let them frame it that way. Never, ever again.

A conservative is now the mayor and as a result of it the past agreements and on-going efforts to improve road safety, green mobility, city life quality are being threatened. It started yesterday with Berlin senate requesting to put on hold every cycling infrastructure projects that would require that at least 1 car parking spot would be removed.
We want to be safe, they want to park cars. #BikeTooter

Habe grade mal im Büro von Manja Schreiner angerufen und mich nach den Radwegen in #Berlin erkundigt. In dem freundlichen Gespräch mit ihrem Mitarbeiter erfuhr ich, dass dort viele Menschen anrufen und sich über die neuen Radwege beklagen (also über das Wegfallen von Parkfläche oder Autospuren). Ich hätte ihm da eine ganz neue Perspektive gegeben. Vielleicht sollten da mal ein paar mehr Leute anrufen und (aber bitte freundlich!) erklären, weshalb wir Radwege brauchen. ;)
