After quite a few issues with crashes (this is why I’m usually a console player, lol) I finally managed to get the Paleo Pines demo to run on my (REALLY not gaming-equipped) laptop and it’s so FREAKING CUTE! 🥰 If you like farming games, dinosaurs and Animal Crossing and have a Steam account, check out the demo there - you won’t regret it! 🥰 I want a Lucky in real life! @paleopines
In recent years, I've noticed a big rise in #CozyGames or #WholesomeGames, especially in the #indie scene. There are a lot of really good ones, and It's actually become one of my favorite genres of game. It seems like a pretty new thing, with games like Stardew Valley, A Short Hike, and Untitled Goose Game feeling really fresh and almost coming out of nowhere; but, I can't help but wonder--how new is the concept really?
Besides Harvest Moon (Stardew's inspo), are there any other #RetroGames that would fit into this genre today? 🤔

Post family event from last night finds me w/ a full-blown migraine drowning myself in tea (aRe YoU dRiNkInG eNoUgH wAtEr) and trying to stop - as my wife affectionally just called it - cow-pocalypse.

Since I just joined this beautiful platform, I thought I would just introduce myself to all of you.
I love playing and creating colorful, cozy games. Even more so when they have depth and help us heal or transform on a personal or societal level.
I love being creative in many different ways.. music, visual art, programming...
I also have a never ending curiosity about the big questions in life. Reading about big history, anthropology and philosophy is one of my favorite things to do.
So a while back I decided to simply follow all of those passions and started developing "The Human Story" - a game about exploring the pluriverse of human history.
Been doing some more cleanup and behind the scenes work to get an MVP uploaded to itch at some point soon, latest new thing is a way to show the "influence" and "access" radius of a building. Not perfect, still working on the color choices for the stripes, but we're getting there! Should hopefully have something uploaded soon.
