Often times when duckduckgoing (is that the right term for that) advice for products, I use the !ddgr key to directly search reddit for advice. But in a post-blackout world, I need to do this a lot less. So I want to know what the best places are to get reviews and advice for products that are human and not top 10 listicals.
Bookwyrm might be a good place to collect all kinds of academic reviews in an open space aka the #Fediverse. One could even automate things, or invite for review texts through Mastodon or email (with a Python script translating the different categories). Maybe the academic instance would need a slightly different design, without ratings, and cover images being less prominent. Yet there's potential.
"They don't support active noise cancellation!" the reviewer shouts, gesticulating wildly.
No, because there is no seal with your ear canal, rendering such a feature pointless. This is physics, not a poor product choice.
"Okay, but they don't sound as good as my favourite thing that I have to screw deep into my lugholes."
That's just physics again.
"Okay, but these are expensive, so I should recommend an alternative. How about... some other thing that you'll have to dig into your scull."
No.
Some people (myself included) don't like their hearing being completely blocked off, reliance on a transparency mode that is probably terrible, the physical discomfort of something penetrating in towards their eardrum, having to try several sets of first-and-third-party tips, and the endless fiddling to get a good fit. Stop trying to sell #AirPods Pro to those people. However rare a more open design might be, it is a legitimate product category in its own right. Comparing it to something it isn't aiming to be, every single time, is not helpful.

I suppose no time better than the present, on Singapore's Independence Day. I've put up a website for my book, magazine and on-line fiction reviews. It currently covers what I've read from the present back to 2019, with further back-dated reviews (my Goodreads reviews) to be added from time to time.
The reviews are simple markdown formatted text files. They are hosted on Github with Github Pages being used to generate the final HTML files.
