I had a weird dream that I cannot remember if it's a real repressed memory - or I have a damn creative imagination...
I remember an older #OS that was represented as a town. Every executable was an NPC, directories were buildings and houses, and files were furniture and loose items.
You navigated the "city" as a playable character that could idly chat to the NPCs (executables) or run them.
Did I just have a crazy bizarre dream, or is this real thing?? Lol

Alas, my @rcrpodcast cohorts have finally driven me to order a NABU computer. Should be an adventure, well, if I can find desk space for it (actually).
I have 2 #Laptop#Computers and hate them both for different reasons. I have a desktop that I hate to sit at. I just realized I don't want a laptop. I want my desktop to be more powerful and I want the peripherals to be able to go to different rooms in my house. I'm thinking like an umbilical, lol.
Is this a thing? Or is it a fever dream sort of idea?
@davep Yes, that's what I need! I've built my #Computers before, but not something that Frankensteins them together. I have been trying to come up with a way to do that. I don't have anyone techier than me available here unfortunately. But the Internets have not given me a good solution. I know I'm just missing something simple. I am not as smart as I wish I were.
