2: Have you had an idea halfway or more through a project that requires extensive rewriting of what you've already done?

Oh yeah. 🤣 It's happened more times than I care to admit. When that happens, I open another file and run with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I make sure to save the original file, though, just in case.

Death Valley is alive this year. A #super #bloom is the latest sign.

In California’s Death Valley region, the last few months have been remarkably loud.
And the latest bellow is still ringing out, with the area’s #native #wildflowers bursting into bloom.

The flowers have filled a place best known for its shades of browns and grays with brilliant blasts of yellow and purple and sprinkles of pink and cream.
This display comes just weeks after the 🔹resurrection of a long-dead lake,🔹 which filled the park’s Badwater Basin and drew visitors from across the country for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to paddle across a body of water rarely revived since prehistoric days.
These fleeting phenomena can both be traced to the unusual and record-setting precipitation that has inundated the state since August, when Hurricane Hilary gave Death Valley its #wettest #day ever.

Subsequent storms dumped even more rain on the desert, eventually 🌟dragging it out of a years-long #megadrought.🌟

In Norse #mythology, #Thor is the god associated with storms, lightning, and thunder. Similarly, in Roman mythology, #Jupiter assumed a comparable position as the god of the sky and thunder. #Thursday was attributed to Jupiter, a tradition adopted by Germanic peoples as well. Additionally, ancient Albanians also adhered to this cultural practice of linking Thursday to the deity of fire.

Good morning everyone! is going to be good. Our son’s dog Luna is coming for a visit because he’s going out of town. She’s the sweetest girl and my wife’s bff. Our GSD and Lab both think she is the bomb and she rules the roost when she’s here. She’s half their size but they know who’s in charge. So is about loving on the dogs, taking a nap, and chilling out. First I have to finish my because I’m not fully caffeinated. Hope everyone has a great !

is going to be a good one. Last night I got 4+ hours of sleep, the most since before surgery. Pain level manageable most of the time. I’ve been able to move around the house without feeling like there’s a knife scraping my knee. Had my first physical therapy session yesterday, and the PT worked on pain reduction. Of course now I expect he’ll try to kill me tomorrow. The dogs are enjoying me being in the LR and are in competition to get the most pets. Hope everyone has a great

🧵 incoming… (1/4)

Today was tiring and a mental drain!

First it started off with a huge frustration at work which lead to me getting quite verbal about some stuff that, quite frankly needed to be said, but now necessarily in the manner in which I did it. After I calmed down from that though, came another headache.

I tried to get Auto Insurance again through State Farm but they wouldn’t write me because I have 2 2020 Hyundai’s that have key starts.

(4/4) The rest of the day ended okay but at that time I was already worn out and done with the day. Was ready for the day to be done.

So…how did everyone else’s day end up?

On 35 million years ago, if you were standing in what is now D.C., you may have seen a blinding flash of light arcing across the sky from the northwest.
At a speed of 11 miles per second, the two- to five-mile-wide asteroid struck 200 miles away at Cape Charles, which was underwater back then.
The asteroid burst through 600 to 1,500 feet of ocean before penetrating five miles into the seafloor.
It was as if Earth got shot with a bullet.
Fractures were driven as deep as seven miles.
Judging by other similar impacts, rock in the crater could have superheated to 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit, hotter than lava.
To be fair, the asteroid didn’t fare any better than the earth.
It was instantly vaporized into gas by the heat and energy of the impact.
As water and sediment rushed back into the crater, the edge expanded beyond the 17-mile-wide hole carved by the asteroid, widening the crater to 25 miles.
