Forget home assignments, the new trend in #hiring now is to go through an assignment while someone else is watching you code. LIVE. You get a very limited timeframe and a PDF explaining how they want the CRUD you are going to build, and that somehow should be the decisive factor whether you know how to code.
This is awful for everyone involved: candidate’s anxiety will make them flunk it; tests only basics skills; and the watcher dies inside on every bad turn the anxious candidate makes.
