I knew it was coming.
I’m American by birth, and it just feels… so backwards… so regressive… that it’s quite literally unsafe for me to visit my home country.
None of this sits well with me.
I ask you to stand with your queer and trans friends/family during a very difficult time for us to exist. Speak up. Volunteer. VOTE. Your support means more than we can say.

@britt 1. All time favorite is too hard for me. When I was at the mall and saw Kings Quest on a 386 I was blown away though. There were kids around the computer recommending things to try. "Check under the bridge" "Check in that tree". It was a turning point. Roberta Williams is awesome and should have a statue somewhere.

@Craigp has mastodon fixed the fact that blocking publishes to the fediverse? I feel like blocking a spammer is confirmation that your account will interact and like email spam, will put you on a list of people to get more spam.
@britt I love this kind of thing! An alternative to befriending randos on Steam is to use a reputable third-party store like Humble, Fanatical, Green Man Gaming, etc., and DM a gift link or Steam code.

@britt I am a 66 year old stroke patient. My spouse is an asthma patient. We regularly get our vaccines together. We have had mild symptoms following a shot. We’ve also spent a day after our shots feeling like a dog’s breakfast.
Neither of us has ever had Covid. We intend to keep it that way. We’re getting our next vaccine shots as soon as they’re available.
If you’re not disturbed by the anti-trans / anti #2SLGBTQIA protests happening across Canada today —- frankly, you’re either not paying attention or your privilege is showing.
I say it how it is - I mean what I say, that’s who I am.
I used to counter protest, I used to build movements… but now I’m too disabled to be there.

It is none of your business what someone else does. PERIOD.
With their life, their sex, their job, their kids, their church or school. You only get to chose for you. If you are looking at another person and choosing for THEM - STOP IT!

@britt I'm still worried that there are more than a million folks in this country who are upset over some imagined threat. Who would rather hate someone else than get involved in healthy conversation with their children's educators and communities.
Thankfully they can't even organize themselves. but imagine that somehow every gay person is working against them to "corrupt" them.
