Corporate crime is notoriously underpoliced and underprosecuted. Mostly, that's because we just choose not to do anything about it. American corporations commit crimes at 20X the rate of real humans, and their crimes are far worse than any crime committed by a human, but they are almost never prosecuted:
@patrickgillam@pluralistic I read an idea once in which #Batman caught a crooked cop and strung him up to be taken away by the police just like he does with any other criminal and it turned the cops against him and he had to go back to being a true vigilante. That pissed him off so he started focusing on corruption which ruffled every feather. It also resulted in making Gotham a better place much more than capturing any two bit thugs could have.
Our last Batman Day spotlight is a Batfamily team up! The Smoke and Knightmage are two of the most prolific cosplayers I know--I have over 100 costumes and they have me beat 😂 but it's not a competition--it's all love. Two things we all have in common, we do this because we love it, and spreading positivity is really important to each of us. Thanks for the memories fam. Hi! New instance, new #introduction :ablobwob: I'm Kal, a queer filipino with chronic Just-A-Lil-Guy-ism. If I must be perceived I'd like to be thought of as "good uncomplicated company", but honestly I might be unhinged? I'm prone to making text walls and playlists when I have brainrot. Okay, so when I posted up the picture of this first volume, the response was very much "What in the world is this." Let's be real, that was my thought on it too. But, now I've read it. So, let's discuss.
Basic premise - The Joker sets off something that accidentally turns Batman into a baby. The Joker then has the realization that without the Bat, he is incomplete and his crimes are pointless. So, decides to raise the baby Batman into the best Batman he can be.
There is no depth beyond that here. It takes that concept, puts The Joker into situations parents get into on the regular to comedic effect. It's a goofy manga through and through; I for one am here for that. Seeing The Joker complain about child care options in Gotham, changing diapers, or telling Harley to be gentle with a baby is hilarious on its own.
Already pre-ordered Volume 2, we'll see if it came keep this same level of humor throughout this 3 volume series.
Do I have space for this? No.
Is 300 bucks objectively a lot of money even if it's a 4k+ piece set? Yes.
Does this look bloody awesome? Also yes. #batman#lego
