What you're referring to as #Mastodon is in fact the #Fediverse. You see, Mastodon is just one of many possible software projects that interact with the wider Fediverse through a protocol called #ActivityPub. There are many other projects you can use, Mastodon isn't the only one, nor was it the first. Pretending it is either of those things is doing a huge disservice to all the people who made the Fediverse what it is. Originally, the protocol in use was OStatus and GNU Social was one of the first convenient instances - Mastodon came much later and ended up doing a huge disservice to the Fediverse by intentionally removing support for OStatus abruptly even though the warriors of GNU noted ActivityPub would be implemented within 3-4 months. Thus, the warriors of GNU were not amused by the intentional segregation of the network and the GNU+Jihad on the Fediverse was born - the warriors are interjecting to this day, despite how many people call it "Mastodon" by mistake.
There's a lot going on around the #Fediverse here lately with regards to block lists, admins fighting back and forth, instances blocking/defederating from each other and more.
If you're on an instance that is involved in this stuff, and it's not something you enjoy or want to be a part of, always remember you can move to another instance.
Do your research, see what instance will work for you and the things you need or want from an instance, and make the move.
To add a bit more to this, if you're being harassed or something similar and your instance admins/moderators aren't responding in the way that you feel they should be, then that could be another reason to find another instance that works better for you.
Nobody needs to be harassed or deal with toxicity, drama, or anything similar if they choose not to. You always have options of other instances and it's a very easy process to switch!

My likely unpopular opinion that we should discuss.
The most sustainable path forward for #Mastodon and #MastoAdmin's is you either self host and deal with everything that it entails OR you pay for access to a public service. There is no in between. Relying on donations will work for some installations but not most. Hosting costs will only increase with time as users and features (like search), are added.

Depuis la dernière mise à jour #Mastodon 4.2 les boutons Rechercher [Loupe] et Publier ont disparu (invisibles). Quand on clique dessus on les voit apparaître. J'ai désactivé uBlockOrigin (Firefox mobile android) c'est pareil // voit copie ecran.
With ActivityPub being available for WordPress it's enabled me to get the News Article to show up on #Mastodon#ActivityPub I'm really enjoying this. Now the posts are available across the #Fediverse@cryovex
