Great tip! (I was just writing up my own article on the same thing, lol)

Bonus tip: If you want to go further and restrict Google Search results to both web links AND the exact terms in your query (rather than synonyms or what Google thinks you mean), append “tbs=li:1” to get “verbatim” results

The shortcut would then be:

[google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14&tbs=li:1]

The speed at which Amazon has moved from "we love and care for our workers" to "trying to enforce workers' rights is illegal" is really quite something.

the serious injury rate at Amazon warehouses for 2021 was about twice that of non-Amazon warehouses

Any neurologists out there with a background in sleep research who would be willing to be interviewed for a CNET article on delayed sleep phase disorder/syndrome?

I’ve got a young writer who could use some help. Long shot, but if you see this message and would be willing to help with an interview, let me know. Thanks!

Mastodon PSA:

For a robust Home timeline you have to follow a lot of accounts, particularly on a number of different instances

NOT JUST HASHTAGS

Your Federated timeline and followed hashtags will only show posts from “known servers”

That means someone on your server has to be connected with someone on another server for you to see that server's posts

For the exact same hashtags, my smaller account sees about half of the posts I see with this account

Back in the 1980s, there was a band called the Dry Heaves, and they were legendary

Literally legendary. No albums, no CDs, just some homemade tapes

They were a cross between a novelty band and a punk band (kinda like an early version of The Feelings)

The only damn song I can remember is Merge Into Heavy Traffic

Were the Dry Heaves a fever dream? Did they exist?
