And we wonder why plant-based meat substitutes are sometimes more expensive than meat ...

"(from 2014 to 2020) livestock farmers in the EU received 1,200 times more public funding than plant-based meat or cultivated meat groups. In the US, the animal farmers got 800 times more public funding. The amount of public money spent on plant-based alternatives was just $42m (£33m) – 0.1% of the £35bn spent on meat and dairy."

We are not ready for a Russian attack, and Trump's America won't help us. Europe needs to start producing everything it needs itself, and fast.

No, there won't be a paperclip apocalypse.

But we want to ensure any risk from AI is accounted for. And give all citizens a safe chance to make the most of it.

We welcome the agreement reached by the Council and the European Parliament on our proposal to set clear rules for AI.

It defines four levels of risk, bans unacceptable risk applications, and reduces administrative and financial burdens for businesses.

warmest year on record

This year has now had six record breaking months.

November had, for the first time ever, two days with a global temperature 2ºC above
preindustrial levels.

These extreme temperatures confirm that 2023 will be the warmest year in recorded history.

It serves as a stark reminder that we need to work together to drastically reduce emissions.

This is why we're pushing for stronger climate ambition, finance, and global energy goals at
