Me and tins of sardines... 😆 This photo I took on my cheapest film, unfortunately in low light it resorts to golden colors, which is interesting in its own way. Canned sardines are very popular in Portugal.
Fleet Week in Halifax was a good time to capture people standing in front of ships. For example, LCDR Carlo Amunategui (CO of HMCS Moncton), plus Minister Bill Blair and Vice-Admiral Angus Topshee, Commodore Trevor MacLean, and Rear-Admiral Josee Kurtz and her staff - all in various poses in front of HMCS Sackville. A great week! #royalcanadiannavy⚓️🇨🇦 #portraitphotography#hfxfleetweek2023
A Photo Series by South African Photographer Gideon Mendel exploring the impact of climate change on populations around the world. A project that began in 2007 with flood disasters in Britain and India, has since expanded to catastrophic rains in Haiti, Pakistan, Nigeria, Brazil - all pictured here.
The poses are meant to be conventional - while the environment is anything but. The faces tell the story.
p.s. searching and following some color hashtags can yield some great results. People seem to tag colors if they are stark or brilliant or fundamental in image
Me over-exposing the film in the camera, it's a good idea to keep old cameras in cases in strong sunlight. 😅 You might notice some light leaks in the previous photo.
