This story about Elmo spreading democracy-threatening election misinfo on Twitter is precisely why everyone needs to treat that platform like the pariah it is. No, you sticking around to counter the misinfo won't help. That's like raking leaves in a wind storm. And yes, I know there's community there, but mingling there does you and all of us more harm than good.

The most effective thing you can do is stop giving Twitter oxygen and allowing it to become just another fringe outlet, like 4chan or Daily Caller. With the very real prospect Trump will retake the White House, this stuff matters.

De-orbiting satellites by burning them up did work when the volume of satellites was small, but already 10% of aerosol particules in the stratosphere contain aluminum/other metals.

In 2018, a group of Russians were able to donate to Johnson's bid for the Louisiana seat he eventually won as the money was funneled through the -based American Ethane company.

A beautiful wren nested on my balcony last summer in Montana. She flew into the house, knocked herself out against a picture window, and played dead. She surprised me when she jumped as I cupped her in my hands. She was so light as to barely be there. I carefully placed her on a chair near her nest, to which she returned. She took up bringing insects to her fledgling, who soon flew away. She returned several times, as did the male. I felt so privileged to have such a visit!
