I think there's more #nature than nurture. I was 5 when #StarTrek, #BattlestarGalactica, #StarWars, The Man from #Atlantis, Bionic Woman, etc were my thing. The lengths I'd go to not miss Star Trek reruns at that age! Soaps and dramas were made for "stupid people who complicate life for no reason", was my opinion as a little kid. That opinion hasn't changed at all now, at 50 yo. I fall asleep with most human-caused #drama. It doesn't teach me anything new.

I just finished watching the season 2 finale of Halo on Paramount Plus & the show did not disappoint! Unless you are a hardcore fan of the video games (if so, you will be disappointed by the “timeline” of certain events), the second season was thoroughly enjoyable & I hope Paramount considers a third season soon.
I will not post any spoilers, but let’s say the central theme of the finale was sacrifice & honor, which made this worth the wait.
Sadly, I do not know of any decent, live-action science fiction shows that are available to see (outside of Netflix of course), but I am a little sad that this season only featured eight episodes (I wanted ten!).

I follow a few tags (mostly #programming and #homelab stuff, the interest topics) and mostly just refresh the feed occasionally and read posts until I realize I'm doom scrolling and then go off and do something else. Clearly I need to follow some controversial topics and invite some of that drama into my life.
