Und auch deshalb ist die Digitalisierung, die früher oder später unweigerlich auf eine Post-Privacy-Gesellschaft herausläuft, in erster Linie eine Dystopie:
"As abortion bans across the nation are implemented and enforced, law enforcement is turning to social media platforms to build cases to prosecute women seeking abortions or abortion-inducing medication – and online platforms like Google and Facebook are helping. "
"Heard of a cool tech-bro-weeding interview technique the other day. A male and female engineer conduct the interview session together. If, when the female engineer asks the candidate a question, he directs his answer to the male engineer, then he's out. They said it happens a lot"
Good grief. In the light of #LaurenceFox's comments on #GBNews, #Sky#News decided to do a piece on the #GenderPayGap. They had a man and woman on to argue about it.
It came out, live on air, that he was being paid and she wasn't. Sky apologised and offered her £75, the standard fee for such an appearance. Then they offered to increase it to £200, the same as they'd paid him.
WOMEN AT FAULT FOR POLITICAL DIVIDE: MARRY A MAGA MAN!
Ridiculous concern trolling by The Washington Post's editors, too cowardly to put a byline for the author, really showcases how #incel grievance has become normalized.
They argue *someone will have to compromise *(meaning women) or else marriage rates will tumble. I think women may have already found their own alternative.🤔
I'm watching yet another iteration of Greek mythology where Zeus is a deadbeat dad who wants to do better and Hera is the vengeful word-I-don't-use, and it's just so sexist.
Does anyone know of any Greek myth retellings from Hera's point of view? I'd love to read a feminist take on all that.
I have never before in my life read or felt seen as deeply by a feminism like that from A Short History of Trans Misogyny, and this week on #StainedGlassWoman, we're diving deep into mujerísima to understand exactly why Jules Gill-Peterson's work truly is A Love Letter To The Dolls unlike anything I've ever encountered before.
My "favourite" thing about this study is the part where achaeologists who found hunting tools/weapons in women's graves assumed they were kitchen implements.
Like, "well Hans, in this woman's grave, we found what inscriptions at the time have named the Flail of Vengeance. As of right now, we are not sure to what culinary task this tool was turned, but conjecture that it was possibly the preparation of small pies."
It’s often claimed that science is about accumulating knowledge. But knowledge accumulation is only one side of the scientific coin. This thread contains 10 quotes from scientists, philosophers of science, sociologists, feminists, and statisticians who’ve highlighted the importance of ignorance in science, both as a precursor and a product. Enjoy!
It's not that I'm only interested in interviewing #kinkEducator s, #sexWorker s, nude #photographer s, nudist/naturists, etc, it's that "mainstream" creators don't seem to be keen on being associated with "adult-only" content that focuses on #activism for the crazy radical notion that #gender based #censorship is BS and either ALL nipples should be banned from mainstream social media and public, or NO nipples 😑

Hold the British Museum accountable for copyright and moral rights infringement and the erasure of feminist poet Qiu Jin!
Recently, I discovered that the British Museum's "China's Hidden Century" exhibit used my published translations of Chinese feminist poet Qiu Jin's poetry without contacting me, and thus without any permission, credit, or payment.
On 20 July 1974 a group of women invaded the Forty Foot bathing place at Sandycove, Co Dublin, by "land, sea and air". The bathing place, made famous by James Joyce in Ulysses, had been exclusively male until then and the women were greeted with sexist abuse and male nudity, according to one of the participants, veteran journalist and campaigner Nell McCafferty.
Are we doing #introductions again? I live in the North of England with my wife and two cats. I love #Discworld#SciFi (especially Ursula K LeGuin and N.K.Jemisin). This week on #StainedGlassWoman, I'm launching Facets, the beginning of an intermittent series where I cede the floor to one of the many brilliant trans writers out there.
Join us today, as the brilliant and very accomplished @Terra has a few things to say in response to men who tell her "I think your breasts are big enough." It's an exploration of sexism and bodily autonomy, and I'm thrilled to share it with you!
Margaret Skinnider was born in Coatbridge, Scotland on 28th May 1892. She was a revolutionary and feminist who fought during the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin as a sniper, among other roles, and was the only female wounded in the action.

Well, #Twitter has a new CEO, and since it's a woman and the company is failing, everyone is bringing up the #glasscliff theory as a forward excuse.
Sadly, there's nothing, a woman can do to prevent falling victim to this patriarchic trap, like, let's say, turning down the job offer. So not wishing Twitter the best of luck henceforth is now a case of gender discrimination. Thank you #feminism. 🤦♂️
We are still failing across the world to get more women into leadership roles in politics which itself stems for a failure to get more women into political careers.
Whether you believe women do politics differently, or whether you see this as an issue of gender representation, to be two decades into the new millennia & for this to still be the case tells us that patriarchy & male domination remain issues that has yet to be disposed of
No #woman reading this post (and perhaps only some men) will be surprised that in work on #gender in the #workplace, McKinsey found that women 'are twice as likely to be interrupted & hear comments on their emotional state' which also leads to 'a third of women who don’t speak up to share an opinion [doing so] because they don’t want to appear disagreeable'!
Anyone who thinks the work of #feminism is largely done, is (sadly) fooling themselves!
America Ferrera's "Barbie" monologue was initially praised for expressing the frustrations of being a woman, and then slammed for its oversimplification of feminism. Now, the actress is defending the speech in an interview with the New York Times. Here's the full interview (may be paywalled); we'll link a free-to-read summary from TODAY in the comments. What do you think of the controversy?
Opinion | Why Aren’t More People Getting Married? Ask Women What Dating Is Like. (www.nytimes.com)
Harping on people to get married from up in the ivory tower fails to engage with reality of life in the dating trenches.
