I’ve noticed that most of my fediverse traffic doesn’t really heat up until early evening. But this is another problem we face with the lack of discovery. Discovery can be time zone sensitive.
I’m really getting demoralized by how disinterested too many people are in growing this technology. The entire future of decentralized social networking seems to be coming down to a relatively small handful of people who get it, and are putting the work in need to build it. So it goes.
@shoq Take heart. Growth may be slower and more measured than we'd like it to be, but it is steady and substantial. The internet needs a place where people are free and it's here. When they tire of abuse, surveillance, and targeting we will still be here. We are in this for the long term.

Da haben auch ein paar Ausfälle unseres Twitter-Bots einen Anteil, aber die nehm ich doch mit. 😎

Does ‘home’ feed mean I should only see accounts I follow? If so, that’s not happening for me. If it’s any account on my server that shows up on my ‘home’ feed, then is there a way to change it?
Lastly, can I change servers? If so, how does it impact what shows up on my feed?

Auf die Artikel von heise online der vergangenen Woche kamen jeden Tag mehr Zugriffe über #Mastodon als über #X bzw. #Twitter!
Da sind ein paar Effekte drin (das nochmalige Teilen am Wochenende bringt erneut Zugriffe, am Freitag ging der Twitter-Bot nicht), aber die Tendenz ist deutlich: Während Mastodon/ das #Fediverse stabil bleiben, geht es bei X abwärts.
Werd mir das noch einmal genauer ansehen, aber vielleicht klappt die Wachablösung ja bis zum Jahrestag der #Twitterübernahme 😅
Hier sieht man noch, welch positiven Effekt es für @ct_Magazin hatte, dass die Artikel wieder automatisch geboostet werden. Das war also der richtige Schritt. (Der parallele Twittereinbruch geht wohl auf Probleme mit dem dortigen Bot zurück.)
Hier den Effekt der automatischen Boosts nochmal in der Summe der Zugriffe über die verschiedenen Accounts. Man sieht deutlich, wie es bei @heisec und @ct_Magazin danach merklich hochgeht. @heiseonline ist halt doch um einiges zugkräftiger.
Vielleicht fällt uns ja noch was anderes ein, wie wir die anderen Accounts sichtbarer machen können. Da nehm’ ich auch gerne Tipps entgegen. Erst einmal lassen wir das so.

Once again, it looked like the number of visits to heise.de via #Mastodon were finally overtaking the number from #Twitter. But it's just the bot over there being down again 😅
