We live under the flight path of wildlife traveling between native forests in #CoastalNSW. At midsummer, these creatures are all very busy feeding on, pollinating, propagating (through excreting seeds), and regenerating not only the great native forests, but many private gardens.
Why not give your local native birds and wildlife a gift for #2024 by planning now to plant edible native flowers, shrubs and trees wherever you live. Or find a Bush Regeneration group to work with on local public lands.
Before long, #Biodiversity Value will become a measurable contribution to the value of both public and privately owned land, including yours. It’s the beautiful gift you give to yourself, your children’s children, our wildlife, and the planet.

Hinter den Dünen des Nordstrandes ist ein kleiner Spielplatz. Und als ich die kleine Robbe dort gestern liegen sah, konnte ich vor Lachen die Kamera kaum halten. So lustig darf es gerne in Richtung des neuen Jahres gehen.

There is a small playground behind the dunes on the north beach. And when I saw the little seal lying there yesterday, I could hardly hold the camera with laughter. It should be this funny going into the new year.

2023 has shown some of the worst humanity has to offer, with wars in #Ukraine#Palestine#DRC & #Niger amongst others.
We've also seen a war on those fleeing conflicts, many of which have their roots in Western colonialism. We can't solve migration, without addressing the causes of migration.
If I have a wish for 2024, it's world peace, an end to world hunger & better understanding & opportunities for all.
We now know that #covid19 is more of a #vasculardisease, maybe even more apt to call it #neurotropic, since it infects the blood and brain, and simply enters via the airway.
So mask up, as we have multiple circulating airborne diseases, the worst and most prevalent of which is covid19.
Happy New Year everyone! The white lily is said to symbolize celebration, hope, rebirth, wellness, and peace. May we enjoy all of those things in 2024.
